Trade Terms

Trades and collection buys run over Instagram DMs, which keeps a written record of every deal for both sides. These terms apply to every trade and every collection purchase.

Who can trade

You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian involved who agrees to these terms with you. If it looks like we are dealing with a minor, we will ask — and we may decline or require a guardian's confirmation before anything ships. A guardian can unwind a minor's trade after the fact, which is bad for everyone, so we would rather sort it out up front.

Minimums

Trades start at $20 of value per side. Below that, shipping costs eat the deal — save it for a show and we will hand-trade in person.

How value is set

Values come from TCGplayer market price the week we trade, adjusted for condition. For graded cards we look at recent comparable sales for the same grade. Adjustments are discussed up front, in the DM, before anyone ships. They are never a surprise applied after your cards are in the mail.

An offer is not binding until both sides confirm it in writing in the DM thread. Either side may walk away before that point.

Condition disclosure

Both sides send clear photos of the front and back of every card, in good light, out of sleeve where practical, with any flaw shown. Describe flaws you know about. A trade agreed on the strength of photos that hid damage can be unwound at our discretion, with both sides returning what they received at the sender's cost.

Shipping a trade

Both sides ship tracked. Every time, no exceptions.
Cards go out sleeved, top-loaded, and boxed — the same way we pack a paid order.
Film your packing. An unedited, continuous video of you packing and sealing the package protects you as much as it protects us, and it is what we will ask for if anything is disputed.
Send tracking as soon as you have it.

You will ship first, and we will ship our side after inspection is approved. We aim to inspect and ship within two business days of your package arriving.

Inspection

Inspect and report any problem within 48 hours of delivery, with the unboxing video and packaging photographs. After 48 hours, a completed trade is final.

Transit damage

Tracked shipping through USPS includes some coverage as standard — currently $100 on the labels we buy — and we will help you file the claim. Above that, packages are only covered if the sender paid to insure them, and neither of us insures a trade by default.

Insurance is up to you. Add it if you want it — it is not a requirement, on either side.

Where a package arrives damaged, we will do everything we reasonably can to sort it out, but we cannot refund or replace a card we traded away in good faith, and we cannot guarantee what a carrier decides on a claim.

Completed trades are final

Once both sides have received their cards and the 48-hour inspection window has passed, the trade is done. We do not unwind completed trades because the market moved, because a card came back from grading lower than hoped, or because you changed your mind.

Collection buys

When we buy your collection outright:

Send photos and we will give you a real offer, usually within 24 to 48 hours of your DM.
Offers are a percentage of TCGplayer and Card Ladder market, stronger on liquid cards and lighter on slow movers and bulk. We will tell you why the number is what it is.
Ship tracked, or hand off at a show. Insurance is your call, not a requirement — worth considering on a big collection, since the standard coverage only goes so far.
Payment goes out by Zelle or bank transfer once the cards arrive and match the photos — normally the same day they are checked in.
If the cards do not match the photos, we will contact you with a revised offer. You may accept it, or we will return the cards at our cost.

Authenticity

We examine everything for authenticity before we trade it away, and we expect the same honesty in return. Knowingly trading counterfeit, reproduction, or altered cards ends the relationship and we will unwind the deal.
